Soldiers stand guard as people look at the remains of a burnt car after an attacker drove a car bomb into a church in Kaduna, Nigeria, on October 28, 2012.

At least 11 people have been killed and 30 others injured after two car bombs went off at a church inside a military compound in Nigeria.

The explosions took place on Sunday at St Andrew Military Protestant Church in the town of Jaji situated some 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the country?s northern city of Kaduna.

?Eleven people, mostly worshippers, were killed while 30 are in the hospitals with various degrees of injuries,? National Army Spokesman Brigadier General Bola Koleosho said hours after the blasts.

According to a Nigerian military source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the first attack occurred after ?a Kia branded car drove into the church premises ? and detonated.?

Minutes later the second attack happened after ?? an ash-colored Toyota Camry drove in and exploded ? Most people died from the second blast,? he added.

The Nigerian National Emergency Management Agency said that rescuers were sent to the military base minutes after the deadly attacks.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.

In October, at least ten people were killed and over 140 others wounded after a bomber drove into a Catholic church in the same city.

Also, in September, a bomb was exploded near a church close to a Catholic church in the Wunti area of Bauchi state in a remote part of northern Nigeria, leaving three people dead and several others wounded.
